The term "orison" is an archaic word that means a prayer. It is derived from the Old French word "oraison," which in turn comes from the Latin "oratio," meaning speech or prayer. "Orison" is used in literature and historical texts to refer to a plea or request made to a deity. It is not commonly used in modern language but is sometimes found in poetic or religious contexts. This section features occult and religiously themed works. I make heavy use of alcohol diluted paint mixed with varnish and tiny shards of glass in these drawings, trying to mix abstraction with biblical interpretations of past events, as well as of the human psyche and longing for a better world. The themes include hellfire, prayer, energy, emotions, witches, scenes from religious texts, and more.
